How do you track Canada post parcels?
All packages shipped within Canada are eligible for tracking. All packages shipped to the United States (except for mall Packet USA Air’) are eligible for tracking. If a shipper provided a reference number for tracking, enter the reference number, along with the appropriate date range for shipment, into the Online Track Tool. Only active shipments will display using this method.

Please explain the Canada Post Tracking Statuses.
Once a customer enters the tracking code into the Online Track System, he will either see a page titled elivery Status’ with the date and a note stating the customer has created a digital shipping notice; or he will be presented with a progress bar.
If the progress bar is not yet present, this means that the label has been created but the package has not yet been brought to Canada Post. Once the parcel is given to Canada Post for delivery, a progress bar will appear.
The progress bar has three sections: Accepted, In Transit, and Delivered. The bar will highlight green to the appropriate section of the bar. Dates will appear under each of these three sections as your package reaches each status.
If the n Transit’ section changes to heck Your Delivery Status’ at any time, this means that your delivery has been interrupted and something needed to be done anyway
If the delivery’ section is halfway highlighted, a delivery notice has been left but the package has not yet been delivered.
A fully highlighted bar indicates that the package has been delivered.
I cannot track my parcel. but why?
These are the following reasons that you may not be able to track your parcel:
- It has not yet been shipped. Check with the sender.
- Your tracking number is incorrect. Follow up with the sender or try again.
- There was a delay between the scanning of the package and the updating of the tracking information. Try again later.
- Tracking information is delayed. This is often the case in rural areas and not common in urban areas. Try again later.
- It was shipped using a service that does not offer tracking, such as letter mail, Small Packet USA Air or Small Packet International.
